
SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES U.S. and INTERNATIONAL
- We will ship the most economical method possible in order to keep shipping and handling costs down, usually United States Postal Service-Priority Mail.
- ALL orders are shipped via PRIORITY MAIL. The MINIMUM combined Shipping/Handling FEE is $5.40 per package.
- Orders over $50 & Jim Shore items over $15 are automatically insured; other orders are not. We cannot guarantee safe arrival of your order without insurance; if this is a concern, please request insurance.
- Unless YOU specifically request and PAY for signature confirmation, we cannot be responsible for non-receipt of your goods if tracking information from the U.S. Post Office indicates it was delivered at the address you provided.
- Our local post office is adamant that flat rate envelopes not be overstuffed; therefore, we will put into a flat rate envelope only what fits and can be sealed shut without tape: 2 to 5-1/2 yds. regular weight fabric. Otherwise, we will go to a better mailer for priority mail.
- Shipping charges automatically added to your invoice are ESTIMATES & estimates are based on value. They may be too low if items are on sale or items are bulky.
- Orders over $200 qualify for FREE REGULAR shipping--excluding insurance, fuel surcharges, etc. (with the exception of wood & metal products) within the continental United States.
- It is NOT economical for you to have only 1 fat quarter or 1 pattern shipped (for example) due to minimum shipping charges of $5.40. We encourage you to increase your order to make the shipping charges worthwhile.
- We may ship USPS Parcel Post if there is a significant difference in cost between that and Priority Mail. There can be a 3-5 business day delay with Parcel Post. If you absolutely do NOT want your package shipped Parcel Post, please specify that upon checking out.
- If you're concerned with actual shipping costs, visit www.usps.com to get an idea of the charges. Obviously, the weight of your order is a determining factor, but their site will give you an idea. We really do try to ship the least expensive option possible!
BACK ORDERS We're happy to keep track of backorders; however, shipping & handling charges will apply to all back order shipments. Please check appropriate box on order form to indicate how you'd like us to handle your backorders.
INSURANCE Please indicate if you'd like your order (if total is under $50) insured. UPS shipments automatically include insurance on orders up to $100. Our policy is to insure orders over $50. If you wish to waive insurance when your order is over $50, please note that.
NOTIFICATION
- U.S. Shipments: if your shipping and handling charges are within $3.00 of the ESTIMATE, we will process your order without contacting you first; however, we will send you an e-mail & let you know when and how your order shipped.
- If charges exceed estimate on checkout by $5.00 or more, we will contact you by e-mail about shipping options and charges before shipping your order. If we do not receive a return e-mail within 72 hours, we will cancel your order.
PRIORITY MAIL (U.S. & APO/FPO Destinations Only)
- If items are small and few (beads, patterns, etc.), we urge you to add a bit to your order to make it worth the Priority Mail rate, especially since SMALL ORDERS incur a greater handling fee (see above).
- Orders that fit in a flat rate Priority Mail envelope can be shipped for $4.90 + $.50 handling.
- 4 yds. of fabric (sometimes more) or 3-4 books/magazines usually fit in a Priority Mail envelope without overstuffing. See above.
- If a "rush" is needed on your order, please indicate that and we will contact you via e-mail with shipping costs and delivery options.
UPS/Other
- We will only ship UPS or other ground carrier if you specifically request it.
- There is a $3.00 handling fee on all UPS shipments due to increased packaging expense and drop off charges.
- We will NOT accept your UPS or other carrier account number to ship. Please don't ask.
INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY MAIL (Canada & many other countries)
- Orders that fit (4-6 yd.) in a Flat Rate Priority Mail envelope, weigh less than 4 lbs. AND have a value less than $50 (US) can usually be shipped International Priority Mail for $11.45 (US) to Canada, $13.45 (US) to Europe & Australia. However, these packages cannot be insured and we are not responsible for packages you may not receive. If you wish your order insured, please specify & we will let you know the total cost for shipping before we send. ALL international orders incur $1.50 additional handling cost. Make sure you check off "International" or your estimate will be wrong!

PAYMENT
- We accept Visa and MasterCard.
- You may also send a personal check, but we will not ship your order for 10 business days, allowing time for your check to clear.
- CALL US with your credit card # at 630-377-5965 if you are not comfortable using our SECURE site.
- Please do NOT e-mail your credit card # nor leave it on our answer machine. We will call you back as soon as possible to obtain your credit card information, but we will ask you to then call us again at 630-377-5965. NEVER give your credit card information to anyone unless it is you who initiates the call!
- We will accept PayPal payments, but they require additional time to process. PayPal payments incur an additional $1.50 handling fee for domestic orders. PayPal payments for foreign orders incur an additional 4% surcharge over the merchandise total besides $1.50 handling fee. If your PayPal payment is not received in 3 days after request, your order will be cancelled.
OTHER
- There are certain countries that we are unable to ship to (Nigeria being one of them); we will e-mail you if we cannot ship your order.
- We cannot be held responsible if you do not receive your package. For that reason, insurance is recommended on all shipments.

RETURNS
We are a small business (i.e., we don't have employees able to handle the paperwork involved) and do not accept returns except for manufacturer's defects. We take pride in selling only first quality fabrics, beads, notions and books! Due to copyright laws, we absolutely will not accept returns on books or patterns under any circumstances. We try to inspect your merchandise carefully for defects before we ship; however, if you feel you've received defective goods, you must CALL us first and obtain a return authorization. Otherwise, we will not accept your return. You must notify us of a problem within 5 days of receiving your order. Fabric that has received authorization to be returned must NOT have been cut, washed or altered in any way & must have come from a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Please--inspect your merchandise as soon as you receive it!! Jim Shore figurines are inspected & packed very carefully before we ship to you. ALL Jim Shore items over $15 will be insured. If your item is broken, you must contact us within 14 days so that a claim can be processed. If the item is under $15 and you did not request insurance, we are not responsible. Any items accepted for return (unless broken or manufacturer's defect) may be assessed a 10% restocking fee.
